A team of Nigerian women Police officers, led by AIG Aishatu Abubakar Baju, PhD, OON, mni, Force Gender Advisor to the Inspector-General of Police, recently participated in a prestigious international training program on Policing Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in London, UK. The training, organized by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) in collaboration with the British National Police Chiefs Council and facilitated by the British Council in Nigeria, aimed to facilitate an exchange of information between police forces in the UK and Nigeria on effective policing of VAWG. The five-day program, which took place from September 22nd to 26th, 2025, in London, featured interactive sessions, presentations, and visits to key UK Police units.
